Sixth Pillar. 2013
This work was conceived and installed in relation with the architecture of the gallery space, La Sala Valparaiso Punta Angeles; an underground room pierced by a row of pillars.

In a space in the middle of the gallery where it seems that one pillar is missing hangs this sixth pillar made of nylon mesh, filled with soil and wheat seeds that sprout thanks to constant irrigation by the gallery staff.  The result is a transformation of not only the pillar, but also the atmosphere of the space with its odour and moisture.
